This is hate wrapped in a virtuous wrapper at its most generous, and way too many people are just seeing the wrapper and not what’s just under its thin facade: homophobia.

If people are wondering how the USA has lurched into fascism so easily, it’s because even their “left” ultimately shares many of the same values as their right, they just disagree on who the acceptable targets are.
