I’ve decided to stop wasting my time. I have no respect for feigned concern for the purposes of winning an argument. Many Americans identify as Christian while also openly chasing status and wealth. My point being, ideology does not always change or improve behavior. Nobody really cares about men besides a minority of men and an even smaller minority of women. The remainder only consider men in as much as it pertains to validating women. If you reduce women to being brood mares and play things for men it’s sexist but men being seen as nothing but wallets, sentries and sex toys for women is just fine.

I’ve done this for years with people in my family - either Ubuntu or Linux Mint. All most of them use is the browser, word processor, spreadsheets and an image and media viewer.

For Desktop Environment I stick to KDE or something that looks and acts similar to Windows XP.

I get very few complaints.

Most people just want something that works and isn’t cluttered.

I might spend 30 minutes after a distro install getting things right, once I have it set up I don’t tinker with it much.
