  • While the whole world is getting worse, my life is going to get so much better.

    In less than a month I’m going back to my home country of France. I will be able to go see my girlfriend after so long ! I will get my first apartment with my own shower and toilet instead of this 7m2 dorm. I even get to renovate it to get the exact look I want. It may sound ridiculous, but I’m looking forward to starting an apprenticeship at this company, I was there for two months and actually liked it. I may be able to get the first surgery I need, and go back to a civilised health care system. And so much more.

    I was like dead doing nothing for years, and now I have projects I am passionate about, people I love and care for and so much to look forward to.

    I just hope that my gender will not be in the way of that, and that they don’t destroy the world before I can start to live.

  • That was meant to be ironic but it got lost it seems ;-;

    What I meant was that, If you see stairs next to the escalator, most people just take the escalator. Same as if a bus is going where you are going to, most just take it without thinking.

    I wanted to show that shaming her for taking the bus was ridiculous, just as shaming people taking the escalator instead of the stairs was ridiculous.

    Do you take the escalator, or do you walk up the stairs ?

    What a weakling you are for choosing the escalator.

    Edit :

    It seems that the irony got lost : most people just take the escalator for a mere 50 steps, just as most people would just take the bus if it’s convenient. So all people in this thread shaming her are quite ridiculous.

    As for me, I take the stairs instead of the elevator daily (5th floor) and wouldn’t get on the bus because I have strong social anxiety.
