I too am out of the loop but why not use tor? The VPN companies can still trace it back to you if what you did turned out to be illegal.

I think that parts of your statement are likely correct but I doubt a lot of it. The comment you replied to was correct though it is likely more nuanced. That is where your point could play in (which is what enables much exaggeration used by opponents) but your examples show me that you are quite biased (not that I am not) and not necessarily part of those who would be willing to listen to the whole thing.

I am definitely on your side but being aware of things can be very depressing.

They just tried… Trans people are part of the queer community they can still be attracted to the opposite gender.

Think of the asexuals! PQ (pretty, queer) or POFQ (pretty, optionally fucking, queer) are much better.

I don’t really see how you got that from the comment but that would be a good point.

A big downside to that is that queer was originally insult and some people have negative associations with it and therefore avoid it and might not want to be categorized as such I have heard the “queer community” be used especially in spoken language. The letters LGBT have also been around for a while so it would be weird to get rid of them now.
