At first. But then once you’re setup you can coast on years of just doing updates on my experience.

I’m not suggesting anyone who isn’t excited to pick and configure all the packages on your system try it, to be clear.

You’d be shocked to hear that much the same is true of many or even MOST of the world’s largest companies.

In a land where desktops can be ripped out and replace with ease - what’s the point in arguing? GNOME isn’t my thing but I’m glad it’s an option.

They really don’t “brigade” much except in threads on which HB is mentioned.

However they will pile on in threads that grab their attention, but I think that’s more a result of them being a fairly large instance and their (mostly like-minded) users all finding popular threads organically in their feed.
