as a firefighter myself, I have honestly told my crews if they are doing cpr on me for some reason, I’m making them as uncomfortable as possible knowing full well they’ll snapchat it anyway. we all love each other.

I’m a firefighter and I sleep like 20. Just get good. :)
well to be honest at 32 I didn’t figure I would marry again. Though I did years later. My wife now understands as much as one can and knows my wishes. (cremate. 50 in first plot 50 anywhere else. :) )
i rambled the other day about how I already have a headstone in the ground with my name on it; my first wife died when I was 32. Said it’s easy, I’ll just make sure I “go” right in front of it so nobody has to worry about cleanup. Was joking in a dark way, around my peer firefighters. Realized there were teens listening who were boggled I have a stone already. I’m fine.

i do care. thanks! always overthinking it. :)
i have given up. I mean, I had when I was a developing young adult and while I am in my mid 40’s now, it’s only embiggened my concerns. it’s taboo here on .world but I truly think the problem is the current era’s phase of capitalism’s expansion especially with the adaptation to technology in the last 50 years.
there was, truly, no time when this country was great; and I’d posit there is no time when any country is as they exist to extract and exploit.
there is no where to go.
so what I do and have done for 20 some odd years now is try to affect (effect??) change in my community. my “city” is like 14k people. I am a firefighter, first responder, and help where I can elsewhere when I see it. i vote. make my concerns known at town hall, especially against how much our PD is expanding due to “safety” horseshit. I help others vote, I mean to say help them realize they can, where to go, etc. I joke but am kind of serious too when I tell our selectmen that the reason I like supporting my small town is because we know where they live. They get the point with a chuckle and then ask for my votes.

We got rosc on the last guy so, it’s worth it!

I’m not on the crews that transport after.
However, when we go to an untimely death or otherwise serious call, there are certainly smells. Nothing having kids hasn’t also sort of exposed you to, though.
Then again, cats, old feces, and other unknown substances and smells from long-passed people does stick around.
You get used to it in an odd way.
Can confirm - yes. It would look that bad. Or maybe it’s just my face.
tip; sleep with your bedroom door closed. you’d be very surprised at how much time it can buy to get out alive. of course also CHANGE YOUR DETECTOR BATTERIES too. :)
source: am firefighter. it’s amazing how soot covered a hallway can be and tenable a bedroom can be with its door closed.
