Reddit -> Beehaw until I decided I didn’t like older versions of Lemmy (though it seems most things I didn’t like are better now) -> kbin.social (died) -> kbin.run (died) -> fedia.

Smartphone is my least common choice. PC most of the time, smart tv for YouTube, tablet, then phone.
I’ve gone through all the stages of grief and I don’t live there. I honestly don’t know why it does or even should bother me. I guess there is some part of me that hates injustice and has some nostalgia for an America, real or always imagined, that was trying to do its best for the free world (even though that was, in many cases, found to be objectively not true later).
If anything, it seems like they may finally get rid of some of the stuff that makes it difficult to impossible for US people living overseas to use certain retirement vehicles without committing tax fraud (PFICs; PFICs everywhere and I can’t put income into my US tax-advantaged vehicles due to rules on that side), but potentially doing one thing that helps me does not do anything to assuage my revulsion and rage at the current situation.
When Epic first launched, they didn’t have payment processors in a number of countries. Want to play that Epic exclusive game? Well too fucking bad because you can’t buy it. That one frustrated me as someone who lives outside of some of the major countries. Also, the people behind it are absolute tools in my opinion and I’d rather not support them.
I grew up with family on the OH/WV border and some in WV and I’ve never seen the abomination in the picture.
Doc saw my arteries, said I would die…
A couple of family members like fried bologna sandwiches, but I’m pretty sure it’s because of past trauma nostalgia more than flavor.

I can’t read plain-text, uncoloured HTML
That’s all we had back in the day. The only difference that jumps out to me is having attributes, but that’s still not that crazy. Even back when I did web stuff, I used notepad++ without any particular higlighting the vast majority of the time for plain HTML (though not JS).
As the user posted, one human can have more than one SSN in their lifetime. Many humans will never have an SSN. Some of those humans may have a TIN. Some humans may have at least one TIN and one SSN at some point.
Mine does :) it’s gone for a swim once when it slid out of it’s case. My bath has a shelf in front so it’s generally not over the actual water
